Dress to get the job
Codman Square Neighborhood Development is hosting a free fashion show themed “Dressed to Get the Job” It will be an information fashions show which will be held at the Great Hall in Codman Square, Dorchester and will focus on giving advise and tips on how to dress for work and an interview. Information will be provided on helping people to get their financing in order after they get the job. 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Phoenix Project Walks for Peace
The Phoenix Project will hold the first annual Greater Boston Walk for Peace. The Phoenix Project is a national youth initiative sponsored by the non-profit Dahn Foundation. The Project is based in Boston, and promotes mind-body practice along with community outreach and social services. The Greater Boston Walk for Peace will encourage mindful walking through techniques that engage the body and breath, as well as gather individuals and organizations seeking peace in Boston. The walk will begin at 9 a.m. at the boathouse on Jamaica Pond, and end with a festival at the Spontaneous Celebrations Community Center.
